  • Bouquet & Bordeaux is seeking a talented freelance floral designer to bring beauty and artistry to our Paris-inspired floral wine bar. This is a flexible, contract-based role that blends on-call availability, recurring weekly work, and project-based commissions depending on business needs and seasonal demand.

    Scope of Work

    • Design and create custom floral arrangements for in-house display, retail sales, and guest orders

    • Produce wedding florals, event installations, and private party designs in collaboration with the founder

    • Conceptualize and execute seasonal and holiday installations that reflect the B&B aesthetic

    • Source and select blooms and greenery in alignment with quality standards and budget parameters

    • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in Bloom Studio during and after production

    • Collaborate on design concepts for pop-ups, partnerships, and brand activations

    Ideal Candidate

    • 2+ years of professional floral design experience (event, retail, or studio setting)

    • Strong portfolio demonstrating range across arrangements, installations, and event work

    • Understanding of seasonal availability, bloom care, and sourcing

    • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with B&B's curated, Parisian-inspired aesthetic

    • Reliable transportation and ability to deliver and set up off-site installations when needed

    • Professional communication and comfort working alongside a small, collaborative team

    • Own tools preferred but not required — B&B will provide studio access and shared supplies

    Engagement Details

    This is an independent contractor role. Scheduling is flexible and based on a combination of recurring weekly needs, event bookings, and seasonal projects. Volume will vary, with higher demand around holidays, wedding season, and special programming. Compensation is project-based or hourly depending on scope, discussed during consultation.
