How We Care for Our Buds

  • Great hospitality starts with our own wellbeing. We support every Bud year-round with confidential resources for mental health, available from day one.

    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for counseling, referrals, and life support

    • Complimentary access to the Calm app for meditation, sleep, and stress management

  • Eligible Buds have access to a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan: our way of helping you plant something today that keeps growing long after.

    • Who's eligible. Buds who've earned at least $5,000 with us in prior years and are on track to do so again this year. Once you've put down roots, your future starts growing with us.

    • What you can set aside. You contribute straight from your paycheck, before taxes, up to the IRS annual limit ($16,000 for 2024, and a little higher each year after). If you're 50 or older, you can add even more through catch-up contributions. Start, pause, or adjust your amount anytime — it stays yours to direct.

    • What we add. We match what you save, dollar for dollar, up to 1% of your pay — a little extra growth on top of what you plant.

    • And every dollar — yours and ours — is fully yours from day one. Immediately vested, no strings, growing quietly in the background while you pour, arrange, and gather.

    Good hospitality is unhurried and intentional. So is a future worth tending.

  • We observe two paid holidays each year and offer paid time off that grows with your tenure.

    • Paid holidays: Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

    • Salaried & Management Buds: Eligible after 90 days, starting at one week per calendar year and increasing with service

    • Hourly Buds: Eligible after six months at an average of 25+ hours per week, with allocation that grows with service

    • Full PTO accrual schedules are reviewed during onboarding

  • Employees are eligible for two paid Give Back Days annually to participate in community service.

    • Service must be performed with a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

    • Advance approval and verification are required

  • Each shift, the team gathers at a communal table for a real, sit-down meal before doors open — the French bistro tradition known as le repas du personnel. Hospitality starts at our own table.

    • Daily staff meal provided for an 8 hour shift

    • Weekly extended team meal with wine education and menu tastings

    • 25% off-duty discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages (alcohol excluded unless approved for special events)

    • Employees receive a 20% discount on retail items (excluding alcohol)

    • Employees receive a 30% discount on workshops and ticketed classes, space permitting

    • Employees may receive preferred pricing on private events when not interfering with peak business needs
